ILLUSTRATION & DESIGN
My practise as an illustrator is a combination of digital and traditional print design. I have always been inspired by colour and working in the London design industry for nine years prior to teaching, I have been lucky to have a career that has allowed me to develop artwork with both mediums. As a teacher, my work with young people is about allowing creative freedom to experiment with print, drawing and design principles to enable pupils to first learn about the different qualities that each discipline brings. I endeavor to allow pupils the opportunity to reflect on their initial outcomes and then encourage a dialogue that will strengthen and guide their work towards final pieces that are unique and considered.
ART TUTORING
I have twelve years experience working as an Art teacher in secondary and prep schools across Surrey and during this time have worked with many pupils to help them successfully move on to the next stage of their journey. I offer tutoring for children or adults wishing to improve their skills or build a portfolio of personalised work, be it for scholarship, exam or university entrance or simply for personal growth and fulfilment. Working on a 1:1 basis or through a series of workshops in a small group of up to eight students; workshops are skills based and structured to allow pupils to work to in a personalised way. Each workshop has a focus on learning a particular set of printing, design or drawing techniques to enable a high quality outcome that can be added to a portfolio of work or taken home for your own enjoyment. 1:1 sessions are tailored more to the individual and without the same overheads as a studio can be delivered in your home making it more affordable over a given period of time.
COMMISSIONS
As an illustrator I can work digitally or with print processes to create unique or bespoke designs for your business or home. For example do you have a particular message, image or idea that you wish to visually communicate? Or do you need some help with branding, design or illustration for your business. I have nine years experience working commercially for corporate brands with the knowledge and skills to create pieces of art or design at affordable prices.
